The Province of Northamptonshire & Huntingdonshire was pleased to welcome EComp Anthony Howlett-Bolton, Chairman of the United Grand Lodge of England's Learning & Development Committee, to Provincial Grand Chapter, where he spoke about the importance of lifelong learning before presenting Solomon Academy Diplomas to three senior members of the Province.
Invited by our Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, EComp Mark Constant, EComp Anthony encouraged companions to make learning a continual part of their Masonic journey, explaining how personal development benefits both the individual and the wider organisation.
Following his presentation, EComp Anthony awarded Solomon Academy Diplomas to Most Excellent Grand Superintendent EComp Mark Constant, Deputy Provincial Grand Master VWBro Tim Almond and Deputy Grand Superintendent EComp David Burton, recognising their successful completion of every module within the Solomon online learning programme.
The Solomon Academy Diploma is awarded to those who complete the full programme of online learning, covering a wide range of subjects that help deepen understanding of Freemasonry, its history, symbolism and traditions.
For the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, completing the programme was about more than earning a certificate. He wanted to lead by example and demonstrate that learning should never stop, whatever office we hold. By completing every module, he joins a small number of members within the Province who have achieved this milestone.
The Province congratulates all three recipients on their achievement and extends its thanks to EComp Anthony for his thought-provoking presentation.
We hope it encourages many more companions and brethren to discover the wealth of knowledge available through Solomon and continue their own journey of learning and self-improvement.
