Rick Rolling Huntingdon Group Membership Officer WBro Phil Miles, PAGStB, was on hand to extend the warm hand of welcome to St Ivo Lodge’s latest recruit, Bro Gerry Morley
Bro Gerry first made contact in 2021 with Bro Phil’s predecessors, but at that time decided the time was not right for him. Never one to give up easily on Internet Candidates, Phil made contact in February 2024 to invite him to a Discover Freemasonry event at Huntingdon Centre, where he remained interested, but ‘not just yet’.
In Spring 2025, Phil arranged to meet Gerry and, after a positive meeting, sent his details to St Ivo Lodge, where he met the Membership Team, was interviewed, and subsequently initiated this month.
Phil later said, “This just proves the value of making that personal one-to-one connection with potential members and making a follow-up. I’m never gonna give them up, never gonna let them down ”.
