Following a successful fund-raising campaign by our (now) IPM W Bro Yan Pheonix, and as part of Buckby Castle’s successful fund-raising activities last season, we were able to donate a total of £5000 in support of HomeStart - Daventry & South Northants. These funds (£2500) secured matched funding from Province.

HomeStart - A brief synopsis . . .
- Home-Start Daventry & South Northants is a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under five years of age and living in the Borough of West Northamptonshire.
- Part of the Home-Start in West Northamptonshire consortium which comprises of two existing charities, Home-Start Northampton (CC# 1116665), and Home-Start Daventry and South Northants (CC# #: 1105831).
- Home-Start believes that children need a happy and secure childhood and that parents play a crucial role in giving their children a good start in life, helping them achieve their full potential.
- Their volunteers offer regular support, friendship, and practical help to families, under stress, in their own homes, preventing family crises and breakdown.
- Last year Home-Start supported 76,750 children in 58,938 families, in communities across the UK.
