On the 13th January 2026 local Freemasons Tim Fussell and Kevin Calvert, presented a cheque for £2,500 to Beth from Whizz Kidz. £1,250 being raised by the Oundle Freemasons during Tim’s year in charge, this was generously matched by the Northamptonshire & Huntingdonshire Provincial Grand Charity.
Tim had previously run the London marathon twice to raise funds for Whizz Kidz and was keen to continue supporting the charity during his year.
Beth expressed grateful thanks on behalf of Whizz Kidz and confirmed that the donation would be put towards acquiring a specially adapted wheelchair for a local young person.
For the first time in their history Whizz Kidz had to close their waiting list because the demands for wheelchairs and mobility equipment became overwhelming, over 1,000 children are currently stuck waiting, whilst their childhood slips away. This makes the donation by local Freemasons even more valuable to local youngsters.
