Celebrating a Remarkable Fundraising Effort for Teddies for Loving Care Members of Fidelity Lodge No. 445 were delighted to come together last night in Towcester to recognise an outstanding act of dedication and generosity by Bro Ryan Appleton.
Earlier this season, on 26 October 2025, Bro Ryan took on the formidable challenge of running the 39th Venice Marathon. Through his determination and the generous support of his sponsors, he raised an impressive £2,082.50, which he has donated in full to the Teddies for Loving Care (TLC) charity.
TLC provides specially designed teddy bears to hospitals, offering comfort to children attending A&E and outpatient departments. These simple but thoughtful gifts help to calm and reassure young patients at what can often be a frightening and stressful time.
In recognition of his efforts, a Certificate of Appreciation was presented to Bro Ryan during the meeting. The presentation was made in the presence of Worshipful Master Paul Watts, Charity Steward W Bro Vince Brome, W Bro Francis Margot APGM, and W Bro Mick Warren ProvGChStwd.
