Danetre Lodge (8594) presented a cheque for £500 to Weedon Bec Trust, Mr. John Wilshire was happy to receive the cheque on behalf of the Trust.
Weedon Bec Trust is a charity set up to help the residents of Weedon Bec old and new with various needs or difficulties. for example this may involve helping young people with education, providing books, stationary, laptops etc. or helping villagers that may find themselves in extreme poverty. The trust also helps villagers that are just in need of a helping hand. Mr Wilshire mentioned that the trust had just assisted in helping an elderly resident that was hit by the recent flooding, helping with some clean up costs.
Weedon Bec Trust will also assist in supporting any costs associated with local recreational playing areas or playing fields. This is a little known charity that needs a lot of support but does lots of good work in return.
