Assistant Provincial Grand Master, W Bro William Diggins, recently visited a fishing day organised by the Masonic Trout Salmon Fishing Charity (MTSFC), giving him the opportunity to see the charity's work at first hand.
From the moment he arrived, William was impressed by the warm welcome, excellent organisation and relaxed atmosphere created by the dedicated volunteer team. With refreshments available throughout the day, everything was in place to ensure participants and their families could simply enjoy the occasion.
The highlight, however, was seeing the smiles on the faces of the children and young adults as they caught fish. Their excitement and sense of achievement perfectly demonstrated the difference these events make.

William was delighted to present the certificates and medals during the prize-giving ceremony, bringing a memorable day to a fitting close.
Reflecting on the day, William said:
"It was a pleasure to see so many young people enjoying themselves and gaining confidence through such a well-organised event. The dedication of the volunteers is inspiring and shows Freemasonry making a real difference in the community."
