More than 230 Companions gathered for the Annual Provincial Grand Chapter Meeting of Northamptonshire & Huntingdonshire.
Held on one of the hottest days of the year, those in attendance were particularly grateful for the excellent air conditioning, which ensured everyone remained comfortable throughout the meeting. The meeting provided an opportunity for the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, Mark Constant, to appoint and install his Active Provincial Grand Chapter Officers and to appoint those Companions receiving their first Past Provincial Grand Rank. Congratulations are extended to everyone honoured on the day, together with those accepting appointments to support the Province during the coming year.
As part of the meeting, Anthony Howlett-Bolton, Chairman of UGLE's Learning & Development Committee, presented Solomon Certificates to those Companions who have completed every module within the Solomon learning programme. Their commitment to personal development and lifelong learning is a wonderful example of the importance of continually developing our knowledge and understanding of Freemasonry.
The Most Excellent Grand Superintendent also addressed the Provincial Grand Chapter, reflecting on the achievements of the past year and outlining his vision for the future of the Province.
Companions were also treated to an important update from our Past Provincial Grand Master, RWBro Max Bayes regarding the sale & development of land adjacent to Sheaf Close. He explained the progress being made towards the sale of the land for residential development and the significant long-term benefits this will bring. Once completed, the Provincial Headquarters at Sheaf Close will remain mortgage free, while also providing a substantial reserve to safeguard the maintenance and future of the building for many years to come.
It was a memorable and uplifting occasion, celebrating the dedication of our Companions, recognising achievement, and looking forward with confidence to an exciting future for Royal Arch Masonry within Northamptonshire & Huntingdonshire.
