Huntingdon Group Officers, Phil Miles and John Napper, braved the weekend sun to promote Freemasonry to the Cambridgeshire community at the County Show in Abbots Ripton, hosted by Cambridgeshire Young Farmers.
Engaging with the public to promote openness in Freemasonry and support for local charities, the TLC Teddies proved a popular attraction as they are familiar to many parents and grandparents who share the unfortunate experience of children attending hospital.
Two young men emerged as strong potential candidates following a conversation with Phil and John, while four Masons currently meeting outside the Province inquired about joining a local Hunts Group Lodge and the Royal Arch.
Said Phil, ‘This just highlights the importance of regularly taking part in such events, engaging openly with the public, and demonstrating our openness to all parts of the community’.
