The recent MAGPAS Masonic Open Day, held at the charity’s operational base at Alconbury Weald, was a highly successful event celebrating the strong partnership between Freemasonry, families and MAGPAS Air Ambulance.
Hosted as a thank-you for ongoing Masonic support, the day celebrated not only lifesaving care but also the vital role of community involvement in maintaining this essential service. Over 80 Brethren from the Provinces of Northamptonshire and Huntingdonshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire, along with family members and friends, attended the event. Guests enjoyed a special behind-the-scenes look at MAGPAS’ 24/7 emergency response, gaining a better understanding of how charitable support directly funds advanced pre-hospital care across the region. Emma Sanders, Fundraising Manager, was pleased with the success of the Open Day, particularly as two attendees left with information about becoming Community Volunteers at the base.
“It was wonderful to see such strong engagement from Masons and their families, and especially encouraging that the day inspired people to consider volunteering and becoming more directly involved in our work,” said Emma.
The Open Day demonstrated how fundraising, volunteering, and community engagement work together to support a partnership that makes a real, lasting difference.
