This week, St Ivo Lodge was filled with nostalgia as WBro Jeff Cox received his 50-year Golden Jubilee Certificate, celebrating his initiation on March 3rd, 1976. Encouraged by their father, Alfie, Jeff became a member of St Ivo Lodge, while his brothers Geoff and John joined Sothius, its newly established daughter lodge.

W.Bro. Francis Margôt, the APGM, reminisced about Bro Jeff's first ceremony as Worshipful Master, during which he initiated Francis into St Ivo Lodge in exemplary style exactly forty years ago, on Wednesday, March 5th, 1986.
Bro Jeff has consistently set a high bar, earning an appointment as Provincial Deputy Grand Director of Ceremonies (acting) in 1992. He continues to uphold these standards through fifty years in the Lodge of Instruction, where he has become a permanent presence, sharing his wisdom and experience with younger Masons in a calm, supportive, and effective manner.
Said Bro Jeff later, “There’s no doubt that the Lodge of Instruction has been paramount in achieving consistently high standards in the Lodge, and I’m looking forward to W.Bro. Francis being here to present me with my 60-year Certificate.”
