A Tribute to W, Bro Owen Davidson

Following the sad passing of WBro Owen Davison to the Grand Lodge above, the Masonic family across our Province and beyond came together to honour his memory in a way that reflected his generous spirit. Owen’s favoured charity, The Children’s Liver Disease Foundation, was chosen as the focus of our collective support.

Through the sale of Owen’s regalia, along with heartfelt contributions from individuals, lodges, and Companion Orders, we raised an incredible £1,600.

On behalf of us all, RWBro Barry Hall and Owen’s widow, Anne, presented the cheque at the Corby Masonic Complex to a representative of the charity. In a wonderful gesture, the Children’s Liver Trust was able to secure a matching donation, bringing the total to £3,200. This will provide vital support to children and families across our region who are living with serious illness.

Owen’s family have expressed their deep gratitude to everyone who contributed. Special thanks also go to WBro Roger Allanson, whose efforts and support helped make this fundraising possible.

This act of kindness shows that Freemasonry is not only about ritual, but also about compassion, friendship, and making a difference in the lives of others.

Let us remember Owen with warmth and pride, knowing that his legacy continues through the good we do together.
