Eloquent and quick-witted Huntingdon Senior Group Officer, John Clarke, was stunned and lost for words at Euston Lodge last night when summoned to the pedestal by the Worshipful Master, Chris Elt.
RWBro Mark Constant, PGM, then stepped forward, in a break from tradition, presenting a 40-year lapel pin to WBro John and highlighting his ongoing commitment to the Province and Euston Lodge and Chapter. The Provincial Grand Master outlined his admiration for WBro John’s work as Provincial Deputy Grand Director of Ceremonies, Euston Lodge DC and Preceptor, and his inspiring delivery of work as Principal Sojourner in Euston Royal Arch Chapter.
The Provincial Grand Master outlined the inspirational standards that WBro John instilled, evidenced by the appointment of several Provincial Stewards within the Lodge. The culmination of his delivery was the field appointment of WBro John to Past Provincial Grand Steward, presentation of the coveted red Stewards Apron, and proposing his membership to the Palmer Lodge of Provincial Grand Stewards, an item close to WBro John’s heart.
An emotional WBro John then resumed his seat, uncharacteristically silent as he took in the significance of this appointment, to a rapturous round of applause.
