The Society was founded in 1934 with the express intention of raising a 100 guinea contribution to the 1936 Festival for the RMBI.  The contribution was raised successfully and it was decided to continue the Society.  Since those early years, the aims of the Society have changed subtly such that the emphasis is now on developing Masonic fellowship through a mutual interest in playing golf.

Inter-Provincial Golf Matches

Annual Inter-Provincial golf matches are a very special way of meeting Masons from another Province and are a feature of our fixtures.

Bill Wright Trophy

Since 1973, pairs of golfers have played for the Bill Wright Trophy at the Kingsthorpe Golf Club on Kingsley Road in Northampton.

This is the longest running golfing society event played at the Club and was first organised by the late WBro Bill Wright, a senior member of Kingsley Lodge No 2431. Originally, the Trophy was contested between members of Kingsley Lodge and its daughter lodges but, in recent years, it has been extended to include other lodges in the Province.  It is now open to members of all lodges inside the Province.

The event is organised by WBro Barrie Goulding of Kingsley Lodge No 2431.
