Founded in 1936, the Masonic Bowls Association continues to maintain an impressive record of raising money for charity. The monies raised are donated to a number of good causes, including non-Masonic charities. A total of £25,000 has been raised thus far.

The Association's fixture list, including matches played on the Annual Tour, consists of:

  • Seven Trophy matches and four Cup matches spread over the year; five outdoor and six indoor.
  • Games are normally played on a Wednesday, at clubs across the centre of Northamptonshire, i.e., Northampton, Kettering, Wellingborough, Rushden and Desborough.
  • There is an annual national Masonic bowls competition known as The MACE Trophy at which members of the Association are regular participants.

Membership is open to all Masons in the Province (bowlers & non-bowlers) for an annual fee of £3. Players of any standard are welcome. Association members play in cream, and with a Provincial Bowls tie.
