The Grand Charity every year donates sums to hospices throughout England and Wales.

WBro Bob Beeton, Senior Group Officer for Peterborough, is seen here presenting a cheque for £3,880 to Nilesh Patel, a fund raiser for the Sue Ryder Hospice at Thorpe Hall, Peterborough.

These awards have been made yearly since 1984 and are made as a result of applications made by each hospice to the Grand Charity.

£1,000 was also donated to the Lakeland Hospice in Corby.
