These were just some of the comments of members and guests at the meeting of Grey Friars Lodge No. 4990 held on Monday the 26th of July 2021 - the first since February 2020.

The meeting, which was held by dispensation, saw the passing of Bro Ashley Burton and was an opportunity for the Lodge to make a start on clearing the backlog of work that had accumulated during lockdown.

The meeting was not only the first be held at Sheaf Close since COVID lockdown restrictions were relaxed, it was also the first ever meeting of the Lodge to be held in the month of July.

At the Festive Board, the Worshipful Master, WBro David Crossley, presented a bottle of champagne to the new Fellow Craft, Bro Ashley Burton, to help him celebrate his imminent marriage.
