At the Past Ranks Promotions meeting of Three Counties Lodge No. 9278 held on Wednesday the 23rd May 2018, the Provincial Grand Master, RWBro Max Bayes, was pleased to present his Certificate of Merit (CoM) to WBro Mick Pescod of Euston Lodge No. 2283.

The award, which also includes promotion to the rank of Past Provincial Senior Grand Warden, reflects Mick's contribution to Freemasonry over a considerable period of time, including his involvement as a leading light in the Three Pillars Feeding the Homeless Trust

WBro Mick was initiated into Euston Lodge on the 21st November 1990 subsequently becoming Worshipful Master in 2004.

Mick received his first Provincial appointment in 2006, when he was appointed as a Provincial Grand Steward. He received further Provincial appointments in 2010 and 2015.

Mick is an active member of Euston Lodge where he serves as Chaplain and thoroughly enjoys presenting The Hall Stone Jewel: Its History and Meaning. Mick also holds Grand Rank in the Mark and Royal Ark Mariners degrees

In August 2016, along with WBro Ged Dempsey, Mick helped to set-up the Three Pillars Feeding the Homeless Trust to help feed and assist homeless people in Peterborough twice a week. The Trust's continued effectiveness is in no small part due to Mick's significant contribution..

Furthermore, Mick set-up the Euston Nomads charity golf day at Wyboston Lakes, an event he has continued to to run for many years.

Mick is a humble man with a caring attitude; he is always at the front of the line to help anyone in need of assistance. He is heavily involved in the local community as a result of his passion for local football. He will often be found at the St Neots football ground, or watching local cricket.

Mick is a dedicated family man. He is married to Lorraine and is grandad to the children of his son and daughter, Darren and Vicki, both of whom run successful businesses in the financial services sector.

We congratulate Mick on his award and have no doubt he will continue to make a huge contribution to Freemasonry in the Province.
