On Saturday the 27th of January 2018, Group Officers from across the Province attended induction training at Freemasons’ Hall, Sheaf Close, Northampton.

WBro Mike Caseman-Jones, the Provincial Grand Secretary, leading one of the training sessions

The primary role of a Group Officer is that of a friendly counsellor to lodges in their group. They provide a key means of communication between those lodges and the Provincial Executive.

The sessions, which were introduced by the Provincial Grand Master, RWBro Max Bayes, were led by the Provincial Grand Secretary, WBro Mike Caseman-Jones, and Mrs Gail Caseman-Jones. The Assistant Provincial Grand Secretary, WBro William Diggins, also assisted.

Attendees took part in group-based discussions revolving around such subjects as lodge support and promotion assessment. Input was also provided to assist group officers make best use of the membership database search facilities available on the Provincial website.

Feedback from all those who attended was extremely positive. Arrangements are already in hand to provide future training sessions.
