Some of the wives, partners and friends of Masons have expressed a wish to become more directly involved in meeting together to support the work of Freemasonry in the Province. 

Out of this has arisen groups know as Lady Associate Members or LAMs.

In the Province of Northamptonshire and Huntingdonshire there are three such LAMs groups:

• Northampton
• Peterborough (Ellindon)
• Rushden
