The Association was founded in 1934 with the express intention of raising a 100 guinea contribution to the 1936 Festival for the RMBI. The contribution was successfully raised and it was decided to continue the Association.
Since then the annual contributions totalling several thousand pounds have been made to all Masonic Charities.
An annual Stableford competition is held for the Harries-Jones Individual Trophy, the Humphries-Jones Lodge Salver (teams of three), the Secretary's Shield (best Lodge Golf Charities). This competition is organised by the Association Secretary and details are made to Lodge Golf Representatives.
The Brian Smith Inter-Lodge Knock-Out Trophy is played for annually. Representative matches are played against the Provinces of Leicestershire, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire.

Kingsley Golf Challenge for the Bill Wright Trophy
Since 1973 (for the past 37 years) pairs teams of golfers have played for the Bill Wright Trophy at the Kingsthorpe Golf Club on Kingsley Road in Northampton. This is the longest running golfing society event played at the Club. It was first organised by a senior Brother of Kingsley Lodge No 2431, the late WBro Bill Wright. Originally the Trophy was contested between members of Kingsley Lodge and its daughter Lodges but, in recent years, it has been extended to include other Lodges in the Province. It is now open to members of all Lodges in and outside the Province.
The event, organised by WBro Tony Bloxsome of Kingsley Lodge No 2431, is usually played in June each year. Players from different Lodges, of all standards took part.
Golf Association Masonic Golf Day
The Northamptonshire and Huntingdonshire Golf Association organises an annual golf day at a golf club in the Province.
