Fly Fishing Association

Patron - RWBr RA Palmer, OBE, TD, DL, PPrGM

Chairman - WBr A March

Treasurer - WBr P G Dawson

Secretary - WBr T Broughton

The Fly Fishing Association began life in 1985 with inter-Provincial matches between Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire. Norfolk has now become the third Province to take part in theses meetings which take place three times a season at Grafham Water and Pitsford and Ravensthorpe Reservoirs.

Each meeting is fished from boats, with morning fishing before a splendid lunch is taken at a local hostelry. This is followed by an afternoon fishing session and weigh-in.

Charity monies raised at each meeting is divided between participating Provinces. The Northamptonshire & Huntingdonshire share is donated to our Provincial Grand Charity.

Membership is open to all Fly Fishing Brethren in the Province at an annual subscription of £5.

For dates of fishing days see Events Calendar. All events are organised as follows

0830
  Meet & boat partners

0900 - 1230
  Fishing

1300 - 1430
Lunch (during which time of weigh-in decided)

The cost of each event varies depending on venue but is usually in the range of £30 - £40 which includes the boat fee, lunch and the Charity kitty. Day fishing permits are purchased individually on the day.

Further information is available from the Secretary, WBro Terry Broughton.
